New baby bearded dragon light setup?

ok well im deciding to just get 1 baby bearded dragon for a 40 gallon breeder tank(36x18x16). my new light setup is a 20 inch terrarium hood that holds my 18 inch 10.0 UVB light. also two 75 watt basking bulbs. i am also have a 100 watt infrared ceramic heat for the night time. please let me know what you think about my light setup and if you think it is appropriate for my tank size, Thanks

Damaged tendon about 2 months ago, could it be permanently damaged?

I damaged my tendons in my upper arms about 2 months ago from excessively working out. It was pretty bad to the point where I was pretty much standing like a hunch back. It was probably the worse pain I've ever felt in my life. My right arm was swolen to almost twice the size of my left. After about a week, it stopped hurting, but it was weak. The most I could do was about 3 pushups (normally about 35, yeah not much) The weeks the followed I sort of used it here and there lifting things and pushing things, so it never really healed fully. That went on for over a month. For the past 3 weeks though, I haven't used it at all in any heavy lifting. But it still feels kind of weak. I could only do about 24 pushups before I can't anymore, and afterwards my right arm feels funny. What could be wrong, and what kind of doctor should I consult for this? I have no insurance and I'm not exactly financially stable so I just want to make sure if I make a trip to the doctors, it's necessary. Thanks

Aquarium Metal Halide's taking hours to come on, why?

Here is the scoop, I bought a 2 175 watt Metal Halide/4 65 watt pc light system from ebay (used). The guy said he just replaced the bulbs and are brand new and they came on once he installed in. However, he said that when he tested again they didn't turn on but after awhile of flicking on and off on the electric ballast he was able to get one on. I now have this 48" light system and I have it plugged up to a 8 socket surge protector. One light came on after flicking it on and off the other one didn't. I left the hours for approximately 4 hours and when I came home they were both on. I of course turned them off when it was nights out for the fish now the next day I cant even get any to come on, it's only been a hour and I still see no action. My external ballast's are rated 175w and so are the bulbs. All other pc lights and moon lights come on with a flip of a switch.

Do birth control pills help with extremely painful periods and bad acne?

I've been having my period since the 4th grade (I'm in 10th now). But for the past 3 years they have gotten extremely painful and they come with a wave of terrible acne I'm not to worried about the acne a couple days after the end of my period most of it is gone but the pain is killing me. There are times when I can't even stand even hunched over, I throw up at least once a period, and heavy bleeding. Could the pill help with the pain? Or anything else?

i have heard it is from so many people, but i asked my doctor and he said its not, it looks like it has stopped because most of the blood is being dissolved into the water, if you have a really heavy flow though, chances are it is still visible in the water. to be safe i would wear a tampon or not go swimming, some of my friends go anyways but to tell you the truth i find it a little gross. i even know some people who wear panty liners in their swim suits, but i would recommend tampons just because it seems more respectful to the other swimmers. lol. hope that helpss :)

This week the teacher brought out a machine that he coud put light bulbs in that were filled with different things (mercury was one). He explained to us why different things emit different lights in the spectra (like red or violet) and he also showed us a picture of the sun broken down into distinct bright or dark lines in the spectra. What I don't understand is when we break up the light from distant astronomical objects into spectra, why do we often find distinct bright or dark lines in the spectra? (What produces the lines?) How can we use these lines to find out what an object is made of? If someone can explain this so I can feel confident in my understanding of this... that would be amazing!!

This is going to be long. I have to be 100% honest to get the best answers. My wife and I have been together for 9 yrs. come Sept. She was 20 and I was 23 it started as a one night stand that kept growing. After 6 months we move in together. By then her birthday had passed and we moved into our first place together. HP Pavilion dv6 HP TrueVision HD help?

i just bought this laptop the other day and the built in HP TrueVision HD cam is alrady busted somehow. It worked the first day no problem. Then the next all i get is a black screen for the camera feedback. Somehow the lighting is all messed up. Neck pain and how to deal with it?

So recently my neck has been achy/sore/pain whenever I raise my head and look up. Can it be because I slouch a lot or when I lay on my bed, I put a pillow behind my back for some support when I'm gaming. Is this anything serious like a hunched back or some sort of neck problems? And what type of doctor should I go to in order to check this out: chiropractor? orthopedic? what?

Going Swimmin During My Period?

The best thing to do is wear a tampon but since your not you should get a bath, the pressure from that will stop your period then get in your bathing suit and everything then get into the pool. That should hold the blood for a while so you can swim. And you will not start bleeding as soon as you get out (I've taken a bath and I wouldn't bleed all night so you should be fine) but its still a good idea to get dressed and put a pad on as soon as you get out..

New pet scorpion- Care tips/help?!?

This is terrible(no offence) The substrate should not be sand. They cant burrow easily in it and it retains almost no moisture. The substrate should be peat moss, vermiculite, peat moss/vermiculite mix, or coco nut fiber. I personally use coconut fiber. There should be at least 4 inches of substrate so they can burrow. The tank size and hides is right. They need humidity of at least 80%. They are a tropical species of scorpion. They do not like light so replace the light it has with an infrared bulb(they cant see infrared) or the ceramic heat emitter. The ceramic heat emitter is preferable because it produces no light at all. If your worried about it being to hot than but a thermostat to turn it down. That's what I did. I like to keep the humidity really high so I spray the cage 2-3 times a day heavily. I also pour some water in a corner so it can go to the bottom of the tank and absorb into the substrate to keep the humidity up all day. I do that twice daily. Buy a humidity/temperature gauge at Walmart. There about 10 dollars. They will just about anything that moves. Sometimes they even eat each other. its recommended to keep them singly but they can be housed together without too many problems. They are found in colonies in the wild. Don't feed them wild things cause they might have pesticides on them and contain parasites. idk how often they molt but i know they molt six times than they they stop. Its very hard to distinguish a male from a female. Take good care of your scorpion and don't listen to these people I know what im doing.

I had a dream about a golden angel?

I ran through some door that lead me to the other side of some place. I don’t know how I got there. I was originally chasing after some guy who used blasphemy against God but it looked like I was in another dimension…On this side I could see the man become a dark creature or a demon. He was about to be punished for what he had said by being bounded and hanged. Well I saw a noose heading our way but it wasn’t used yet. The background had two sides: a side that looked like hell, which the demon was heading for & a side that looked like heaven. Then it looked like I was in between the divide and it looked like swirling spiraling clouds. From the heaven side came these very tall golden figures. There were 3 of them & I called them angels. But they didn’t look like the typical angels that you see on television. They were golden, very great in height, almost skinless and very radiant. The demon had looked like a real demon too. Nothing like on TV either. Very grotesque and full of hatred. Its back was hunched and it was black. I didn’t look at it much. But in a way the angels looked like aliens, thought the were not. The head angel approached me & I become afraid. I thought that I did something bad & would die, if I already wasn’t dead. It told me that the presence of God was here and I should bow down. So I did. Then it asked me why I followed the man to where I was, where ever that was. I was confused why it wouldn’t know but I figured it was testing me so I told it because the man or thing said a blasphemy against God & I didn’t want it to get away with it. The angel told me to kneel and look at him. Then it said, because of actions like this you will enter the kingdom of heaven & something else about God being pleased or something. Then it told me not to be afraid then touched my face with both of its giant hands and did something to my body through a light. Then I was allowed to leave wherever I was and went back into my dream. I don’t know what it did. Maybe it healed something? I don’t know.

What is wrong with my guppy :( ?

About 2 weeks ago I noticed that maybe he was acting a little different but I guess I was too busy to really think anything of it. The tank had ich but only one fish had the spots and I treated the whole tank and everyone is fine but now, a week later, I noticed that one of the other fish bit off my guppies tail fin. This is weird because they have all been together for more than a month with no problems which is why I think they are picking on him cause he is sick. He looks kinda skinny too. All the other fish are acting normal so I took him out and put him in his own 5 gallon. He is swimming around and he picked up a flake and ate some but spit out the rest and now he is just swimmin around. I have melafix in there with him so he has meds for his fins. I also noticed that there is like a spot by his front fins on both sides of his body in the same spot on both sides. It is kind of a reddish gold color. Maybe it was there before and I didn't notice? Otherwise, what could it be? I have parasite medication, ich meds, and Melafix/Bettafix but I don't think any of those will help him. I think he has velvet or a parasite. What do you think? He is not showing signs of having trouble breathing or swimming either. I cannot test the water until tomorrow but last time I checked the level were all perfect (about a week ago).

What does it mean when i have a recurring setting in my dream?

whats weirder is i recognize some of the things i see but not all and the dream is always different. ether im walking through this place with a friend-ish person or i cant find someone in the crowds. whenever i have these dreams its like i can see a map but not, and know where i am and where i need to go.the setting im in is a little strange. its almost always crowded like a busy street but its not crowded with new york business men its crowded by literally every type of person every building i pass is only 2 or 3 story's tall and is always a shop. when i go inside of these shops or look in a window its crowded to. it sells little do dads like a little metal elephant with gears in side. its always past mid day when it begins to turn orange. in the streets of the main street there are stalls but its really hectic like a parade is going threw the middle of it all. the stalls are made of some sort of white sheet. i never look into the stalls for some reason im always about to when i get distracted. i kind of like these dreams i never feel scared. but then again i almost never dream and that may be why i like these dreams. if anyone can help me make since of it all that would be greatly appreciated. i just remembered something. there is one shop that is different from the others. its made of a dark brick unlike the others and is 4 or 5 story's tall and it sells books. iv never been in it but i know there is a creepy old man that runs the shop in overalls and kinda hunched over. again thank you for your help:)

Home made solar lights.?

I recently saw the tail end of a program on the discovery channel. A guy somewhere in Asia was installing solar powered lights for the poor and needy. The lights were 2Lt Coke or Pepsi bottles filled 2 thirds with water and a chemical or chemicals. They were then installed in the roof with about half the bottle exposed to the sun. These bottles produce about the same light as a 55 watt bulb and last 5 years. Anyone know the chemical/chemicals used?

I need help with my Syrian hamster?

I JUST got my hamster two days ago and right now it is night time but only about 9:00 and my Syrian hamster isn't out of his hideout! Well...he was out for a while then he started sitting still in a hunched position (He looked like a ball) and he would just stare and not move. He was also unresponsive. It really depends if you want to get paid for it. Poetry is highly subjective. One person can think it's terrible and another could think you're the next Sylvia Plath. Some magazines are selective while others are not. However, even if you're one of the best poets today you'll still probably not get paid well. Money is in books and even then it's difficult to succeed. Sorry to be a downer. The point is you should write because you like it and write because you want to share with others regardless of payment. Good Luck.

Betta fish question????????

I have a betta that was purchased from petsmart, and it lives in a 2.5 gallon tank with a small heater. His tank stays between 78-82 degrees. Its got a filter, but I honestly dont like using it as it seems to blow him around a little bit. I change/partially change his water frequently. Its been about 3 months since I got him, and hes been acting weird today. He hides in his barrel ornament that I have in his tank, and he will swim around for a bit to get air, but swim right back into his barrel. He NEVER goes into his barrel, he is always swimmin around and waving his body back and forth as if he is happy. Making bubble nests. But today hes weird and hardly will eat. What can I do? What signs should I look for, and how do I treat it? Can someone give me advice?

Yes you can but it wont last as long because it will burn the filament that lights up inside the bulb

Are these good enviormental savvy ideas?

It recently dawned on me that we don't have foever to change the world and our ways. Water, electricity and oil are not limitless and i read a book called water wars which highlighted the starlting future thats coming closer to reality eevry day if we don't change our wasting habits. Some really good ideas i was able to conqure up for helping the enviorment off the top of my head are to only use 90% of lights in schools, u know those florescnet bulbs? There plenty bright and would work just as well with one off or one bulb unused and that light thats off could rotate to extend the bulbs lifespan. Also using auto sinks, paper towl dispensers and flushing toliets EVRYWHERE would REALLY help, in one or two places only helps so much but applying them everywhere would make a huge difference, also using low water flow faucets in homes and showers would help a TON!!!! I c water saving faucets in biusness buildings but NEVER in homes. Theres more hoems on earth than biusness buildings. Also a few more ideas are auto shut off lights in homes, etc... Also using a lot less highway lights would help because cars have lights and how much lights do we really need on highways? The last energy saving idea i had was to gradually reduce the sales of the old types of lightbulbs that arent the enerygy efficent ones, and to price the energy effeicent onces cheaper, if we did that i dare someone to try and tell me how its a bad idea. The energy efficent bulbs nowadaysa re as bright as the old oens and even dim. Thanks and plz no hurtful or comments that are derrogatory in nature.

Headlights dim, not assembly?

headlight assemblies are all good. I have a 1987 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. New bulbs as well. Looked at the wire gauges and my fog light wires are thicker than my headlight wires, possibility? The bulb connection looks clean, no dirt, I'm not sure if it could be bad anyways? Checked battery output which is normal with car on, off and with my headlights on so I'm assuming battery and alternator are fine. It Could be a loose ground, but would there be other symptoms elsewhere? Any other ideas? PLEASE let me know!! Thanks in advance :)

Mini Cooper 2007 handbrake problem?

I recently bought a 2007 cooper and am experiencing a strange problem. if the engine is off and i put down the handbrake, the handbrake bulb goes off. But if the car is on ignition or started, and i put down the handbrake, the bulb remains on. Even whilst im driving and the handbrake is down, the bulb remains on. Does this have something to do with the fact that the brake pads have recently been replaced? i dont know if i had the problem before the pads were changed because i bought the car just after the dealer decided to change the brake pads.

went swimmin and boy was it a mess when i got out the pool, my hair isn't that long yet but when it gets wet it shrivels up and crinkles. But....what is like one of the best hair greases or products i can use on it for it to STAY moisturized and STAY shining and also the biggest problem of all...what product helps it lay down flat.? I've noticed when certain people have a perm and use gel their hair lays flat but when i use it on my hair which is natural is gets wavy. but anyway my hair seems to poof up if i try puttin it in a ponytail or whatever so what can make it lay flat or somethin.?By the way the last time i had a perm was last year, so yes im natural, but i'm going for the big chop in june. What color should i paint my room?

It's a fairly big room, but it's cut up weird. It has about 8 walls, and only one window. Plus that window is small and faces southeast, so i don't usually get much light out of it. The light I have on my ceiling is old, and it dims any light it gives. i had to take of this black shade thingy so the light would hit the ceiling and brighten up the room. It didn't help much because there is this black thing connected to it that stops light from going up. I can't get rid of it because it was my dad's room when he was a kid and he loves the light. i can't put in a good light bulb because he thinks it would be too much for the light. I'm on the top floor, so it gets really hot. i had to put in an air conditioner, so that blocks half the light that comes in. Also, my furniture is too big for the room. It came from an old castle my great-grandpa worked in and my great-grandma used it (i'm working on it). What color should i paint my room? I don't want white, even though it would be considered the best choice. i painted it once when i was little, and the color would be great if i had two windows, but one is too dark and 3 walls and all the corners get this really ugly shade of blue/green. I want i color that is relaxing and goes with my closet doors (because they aren't leaving). The closet doors are a golden brown color. I'm in high school, so if that helps, that's good.

Ok, so a few days ago I noticed some bees flying around my room and I thought it wasn't a big deal. Then yesterday there were more bees (yellow jackets) and they were coming in uncontrollably! Why isnt my fridge getting cold?

i have a 2.7 cu-ft black & decker mini fridge. It was doing fine at first now the small freezer compartment is over freezing, theres frost everywhere covering the whole compartment. i have the setting at 51/2( between the 5 and 6 setting). thats where i've always had with no problems now the inside doesnt seem to be getting cold enough but the freezer is to cold. i read the reviews and someone was saying wrap the thermostat bulb with the plastic that came with the fridge i did that. the plastic wont stick anymore. i dont know if the thermostat wire is supposed to be on the inside of the freezer compartment or on the outside bottom of the freezer compartment and i cant find my manual. Small Hunch or 'Buffalo hump' on the top of my back?

Hi, I seem to have a very ugly (what some people call) Buffalo hump, or hunch, just a little bit under the back of neck, where my back starts. I wouldn't say it's too bad. My hair and shirt cover it. My mom cheated o my dad, what is the best approach to this situation?

My dad never suspected anything until one day he got worried about my mom and she would not answer her phone about a month ago. He was a little concerned and tracked her phone and noticed it was at her co-worker's house. His worry then turned to curiosity. Since I first started my period, I've had horrible cramps..so bad that i would have to miss school and curl of in a ball. This was accompanied by nausea and sometimes vomitting, and diarrhea. For the past few months I've had relatively painless periods but now for this months period, it was so bad i was hunched over on the verge of crying. I get very nauseous, hot flashes and feel like im going to pass out. I also get very sharp pains near my left ovary when i have my period, that can be very sharp throbbing pains to dull aches. I also get very bloated at random times and feel some cramping before and after my period. Now a week after my period ended, I have had sharp pains near my left ovary again and i've had diarrhea, along with some nausea/dizzyness. I went to get an ultrasound a few years ago back in highschool and they couldn't find a cyst. Are these symptoms of a cyst? Why are my periods so bad?

I had the same fast heartbeat (over 120 per min) for no particular reason. I'd had an enjoyable time with my friends and returned home. Managed to persuade my husband to take me to A&E. There I was given an injection and hospitalised overnight. The cardiologist put me on Tenormin to be taken daily. I kept this up for some years but have slowly weaned myself off them as I've had no symptoms since. I think a lot depends on how long the attack lasts. I was in my early sixties when this happened.

I would suspect that it is a relay. If they are wired correctly the switch inside the car should activate a relay. The relay will switch the power on and off for the ballasts for the lights. If the lights were to replace existing factory lights, the relay is likely near the fuse box but I don't know for sure on your car.

its a craftsman weed trimmer about 1yr old and used only about 4 times total. i cant seem to get the fuel up into the "bulb". pressing the "bulb" does pressurize the tank, but cant get fuel to the "bulb". 1 month old and a Cold...what can I do for her?

I own a 2006 Volkswagen Passat 2.0T and have always wanted to get halo headlights for it. One of my headlights finally burnt out recently so I figured now was the perfect time. I see that getting the full headlight with these bulbs in it is very expensive and a much cheaper alternative is just buying a halo bulb and installing that. Low beams go out when high's are on.?

I just bought a '96 Olds Cutlass with a four headlight system. The previous owner said he just installed some bright white bulbs in both high and low beams. The low beams are nice and bright, but I noticed when I switch to high beams the low's go out and only the high beams are on. I don't think this is right. Major back pains, don't know whats causing it? Help!?

My lower back towards my right side is in so much pain. It's pressure and pain that almost puts me into tears. Usually overnight it gets acted up, but it woke me up last night and the pains are so much worse then usual. This has been bothering me for about a week... I could walk normally earlier in the week but this morning it is so painful and I find myself somewhat hunched over.
