How do you make good friends?

i have friends at school but they are kind of weird and they all have phones and my mom won't get me 1 and they all tell each other EVERYTHING by txting each other. its rlly annoyin and m on a swimteam and im friends w/ 2 girls who r rlly nice and kewl but they go 2 the sme skewl and they go EVERYWHERE 2gether and they are never free so the only way 2 contact them is by txting but again my mom won't get me a phone! i hav a friend out of skewl who is my closest friend and i've known her 4 9 years but im kind of sick of her and i want knew friends but the problem is how do i become closer w. my friends from swimmin??? my mom said if it wud help my social life tht mayb she'll get me a fone in the spring but i mean thts pretty far and i know she's just sayin tht 2 get me all excited lik she did b4!!!!! DO U KNOW A WAY 2 BECOME TONS CLOSER W. MY FRIENDS FROM SWIMMIN?????? THX SOOOO..... MUCH
